terms & conditions

please take the time to read these terms and conditions, we appreciate that it’s tempting to skip the content but these things are important as by using any of our services and by placing a booking with us, you’re accepting and agree to comply with our t’s & c’s. we have written the booking terms to describe clearly our booking policies and procedures, and to clarify the contractual relationship between you, our client, and us, the provider.

failure to adhere to any of the t’s&c’s outlined below, may result in some or all of the payment being withheld and your booking cancelled.

deposit

we ask for a £120 (incl vat) deposit, sent by bacs, to confirm your booking date. This secures your date in our diary, without a deposit, your enquiry remains unconfirmed. The deposit will increase to 10% of your total balance if over £2,000+vat.

remaining balance

the remaining balance will be payable up to 10 days prior to event date. if the payment has not been received by the due date, we reserve the right to charge interest at the rate of 5% or cancel the booking with no return of initial deposit.

payment methods

we currently only accept bank transfer as form of payment.

minimum spends

on weekend or key dates throughout the year, we implement minimum spends. please enquire directly.

if you have a change in guests numbers and have booked a date with a minimum spend, this spend still applies to this date only. we will offer what services we can to use your spend with us as memorable as possible.

changes to specification

should the event change from the original quoted specification then your costing will be revised accordingly. we will always do our best to fulfil any changes you wish to make if before the 10 days prior to your booking date, though please note with availability of ingredients etc this is not always possible. if you wish to change the date we will always aim to accomodate this, though this is also always not always possible.

cancellation

the minimum cancellation charge is the £120 (incl vat) deposit payment.

unfortuantely due to the size of our operation, we cannot offer any refunds after the 10 day final payment period. we can use your deposit for a future date providing availability if you’d prefer to change dates rather than cancel, prior to the 10 day final balance due date.

very rarely there may be a delay in the arrival of your chef, or we may need to cancel your booking for reasons beyond our control, such as adverse weather conditions, sudden illness, bereavement, unavailability or breakdown of transport or equipment. we will do our best to notify you as soon as possible, however, in the event that we must cancel, we will offer an alternative date.

should this not be possible, you will receive a full refund. we regret that, in these circumstances, we are unable to reimburse travel, accommodation or any other expense that you or your guests may incur in relation to the cancelled booking.

conditions of hire

the customer shall be liable for any loss or damage to equipment or property provided by the company that is not of fault of byMolly ltd. we will try to mitigate any losses as far as possible, and will pass on any charges at cost.

we will not tolerate any violent, threatening behaviour, physical aggression or verbal abuse to any of our staff or representatives. If this happens our team will vacate the property immediately and the booking will not continue. No refund will be issued and legal proceedings may be issued against you.

force majeure

the company shall make reasonable efforts to perform their obligations under contract but shall not be liable for any delay or other failure to perform any part of the contract as a result of factors outside of our control.

in the event of terrential weather conditions, we may have to cancel and reschedule your booking with the enxt available date if it’s deemed unsafe working/travelling conditions. The safety of us and our staff is paramount.

if you have an outside event booked with us and the weather is unsuitable, we reserve the right to cook and serve food inside, to minimise the risk to food quality and overall experience.

final numbers

final numbers for bookings will need to be confirmed in writing 10 days prior to event date if different from initial quote. we’ll endeavour to fulfil an increase in guest numbers if informed with less than 10 days of the date. if we’re unable to fulfil the guest amount change after informing post the 10 days, this does not entitle you to any kind of refund or free cancellation.

allergic reactions

we cannot guarantee that any produce on our menu is totally free from nuts, nut derivatives or other allergens to which guests may have a serious reaction to as we cannot operate in a trace-allergen free environment.

we would therefore advise guests with a severe allergy to nuts or other ingredients to talk to us directly to arrange an alternative to the best of our ability. please inform us of any dietary requirements that you have and we will accommodate this into your meals. we cannot be held responsible if you do not inform us of any allergies or intolerances.

claims

a claim that the services are not in accordance with the contract will not be accepted by the company unless written notice is given to the company within 48 hours of the provision of the services, stating the grounds of the claim and enclosing any supporting evidence.

alcohol

anyone who looks under the age of 25 will be asked for identification to prove they are over 18 years of age, where we are providing the alcohol.

locations

we cover the majority of the united kingdom, if you would like to know if we cover your area please get in touch. We would be happy to discuss this with you.

areas outside of Leeds will incur a travel fee and possibly accomodation and staff are confirmed on a case by case basis and is drawn up into your final quote.

menu choices

all menus are to be confirmed and pre-ordered from a minimum of 10 days prior to the event date. please note we are unable to make any changes after the 10 day confirmation period.

by confirming your menu choices, you acknowledge and accept that your food is made specifically for your event from fresh, locally sourced ingredients where possible, and other ingredients are sourced to create dishes.

food cannot be returned, swapped for alternative dishes or costs refunded prior to the 10 day confirmation period.

allergies and dietary requirements

when creating and building your menu, we ask for any allergies or deitary requirements of guests in attendance. if we are not made aware or notified fully, we hold the right to adapt to the best we can but cannot fully confirm there is no cross contamination.

our kitchen uses many ingredients, whilst the utmost care is taken with all allergies and deitary requirements, we cannot fully guarantee that traces will not be found.

additional guests

please make us aware of any additional guests as soon as possible – we will always try our best to accommodate.
